Well i learned quickly that a supercharged jetta is not the best winter car with all season tires (my winters dont fit it haha)
So I decided to go back to what I love to do, building subarus.
I picked up a 2000 Subaru forester 5speed AWD for my new toy to play with and the jetta is now up for sale.
I always am dragging stuff around so this seems like the logical daily driver for me. Of course, me buying an Subaru SUV means it wont be left stock. I just picked up a set of Cusco coilovers for it yesterday at japanese direct in toronto, so its already going to be scraping. I also Have a set of borla headers for the 2.5L engine and I have enough 2.5" piping back home to build a straight back exhaust.
Im also in the hunt for a set of delta 272/272 duration cams for it so it will idle like a dump truck. The cloth interior in the car is a little stained but I managed to find a whole set of leather interior for sale still in the box.
I know its not like me to build an SUV but it IS based on the impreza GC8 and only weighs 200lbs more, as well at the same time all of the parts are interchangable. This just seems like the logical car for me.
